Where do I begin? One fun site and one piece of advice.

I now have a blog thanks to my Neice, who is awesome. I wanted to comment on her blog, so here I am. After a little thought I have decided to share my thoughts on how parents can help their children succeed in mathematics.
So my first post has one simple idea. If you hate math, you are teaching your child to hate math. So try to love math, start today!
Here is just one fun site for maths http://www.mathplayground.com/
I am on my iPad and downloaded Rover, the iPad browser for education, which worked well.
This link has lots more websites if you are keen to look at more, they are for year 9 and 10 students in New Zealand http://2013maths.wikispaces.com/MAT+Links
I teach using as much free software and apps as possible, so my posts will exclusively cover free electronic resources.
Comments and questions welcome.
